    EyeCaptain in one paragraph

EyeCaptain is conversion rate optimization (CRO) software. You give it the address of a page, a product page, a landing page, a pricing page or a checkout, and it tells you what stops visitors from buying, booking or getting in touch, and what to change first. It reads your site to learn what you sell and to whom, opens the page in a real browser on desktop and on mobile, measures what pulls attention and what competes with your main button, and judges the page against the rules that apply to your kind of site. The result is a report with a score, an attention heatmap and a short list of changes in priority order, each with a before and after. It takes about five minutes and nothing is installed on your site.

    What EyeCaptain does

The core is the CRO page audit. Around it sit audits for the other questions a page raises:

    • E-commerce CRO audit: product, category, cart and checkout pages, judged on the buy box, costs, trust and the path to checkout.
    • Lead generation CRO audit: the whole landing or service page, from the headline to the form.
    • AI heatmaps: where attention lands in the first seconds, predicted from the page itself, for desktop and mobile.
    • Content audit: whether the copy is clear and persuasive, with rewritten headlines and calls to action.
    • Technical audit: speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, accessibility, tracking and consent.
    • Competitor comparison: your page next to up to three competitors, judged on the same criteria.

The audit adapts to the site type you pick, so a SaaS pricing page, a clinic's booking page and a magazine article are each judged by their own rules. For paths that span several pages there is the funnel audit.

What you get in a report

    • A score with a range, and a one-line diagnosis of what holds the page back.
    • An attention heatmap for desktop and mobile, with the elements that win and lose the first look.
    • A walkthrough of the page, zone by zone, with the findings marked on the screenshot.
    • Five to seven changes in the order to make them, each with the evidence, the expected effect and a before and after.
    • A PDF, a share link or an embed, and on agency plans your own logo and colours.

    Who uses EyeCaptain

Three groups, for the same reason: they want more of the visitors they already pay for to act. Store owners and e-commerce managers who want to know why a product page with good traffic does not sell. Marketing and growth teams who launch landing pages every month and need a check before the budget goes live. And agencies who deliver CRO and UX audits to clients and want a first draft in minutes, under their own brand. See EyeCaptain for agencies.

How it is different from analytics and session recording tools

Tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity record what visitors did: they need a script on the site and weeks of traffic, and they show you where people dropped without saying why. EyeCaptain works the other way round. It judges the page itself, so it works on the first day, on a page with little traffic, before a campaign starts, and on a competitor's site. The two approaches complement each other: recordings tell you where to look, the audit tells you what to change. The comparisons with Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity go into the detail.

    What EyeCaptain does not do

    • It does not record your visitors or collect data about them. No script runs on your site.
    • It does not run A/B tests. It tells you which changes are worth testing or shipping first; the A/B testing guide covers how to test them.
    • It does not change your site. You or your developer make the changes, with the report as the brief.
    • Its heatmaps are predictions from the page, not eye tracking of real people. They are right about what a page makes prominent, not about what one particular visitor did.

    Who makes EyeCaptain

EyeCaptain is built by Anvilfy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, and was founded by Dimitris Andreadakis, who has worked on conversion optimization for online stores and lead generation sites. The audit methods draw on published usability and checkout research, and every finding in a report has to point at something measured on the page.

    What it costs

The first audit of one page is free, with no card. Paid plans start at $39 a month, with credits for the audits you run, and there are Pay As You Go credits that do not expire. The pricing page lists what each plan includes, and how it works walks through an audit from the URL to the report.

It audits a web page for conversion. It opens the page on desktop and mobile, measures what pulls attention and what competes with the main button, judges the page against the rules for your kind of site, and returns a report with the changes in priority order.
