FAQ
Questions about EyeCaptain, answered
How the audit works, what the report contains, how credits and plans work, and what happens to your data.
01 General
General
EyeCaptain (sometimes written Eye Captain) is an AI CRO audit. You give it the URL of a page; it reads your site to learn what you sell and to whom, captures the page on desktop and mobile, measures what pulls attention and what competes with your call to action, and returns a report with the changes in the order to make them.
Online stores, lead generation and SaaS teams, booking sites and the agencies that serve them: anyone who wants more of their existing visitors to buy, sign up or get in touch.
Usually under five minutes per page, desktop and mobile together.
No. Each finding is written in plain language with the change to make, and a before and after example you can hand to your designer or developer.
Yes. You can analyse any number of sites and keep each client or brand in its own folder. Agencies can deliver reports under their own brand.
02 The report
The report
A score with a range and a one-line diagnosis, an attention map for the first seconds, a zone-by-zone walkthrough with screenshots, the persuasion levers that are present, hidden or missing, and five to seven changes in order with a before and after for each.
They predict where attention lands in the first seconds from the page itself: contrast, size, position, faces and colour. No traffic or script is needed, so they work before launch and on any public URL. They are a prediction, not a recording of real visitors.
Besides the CRO audit: content analysis for your copy, a technical audit for speed, crawlability, accessibility and errors, AI Predictive Attention, and a comparison against up to three competitors.
Yes. A share link on every plan, PDF from Standard, and embeds and your own logo and colours on Growth.
Yes. Every CRO audit captures desktop and mobile and reports what is visible on one and hidden on the other.
03 Pricing and credits
Pricing and credits
Yes. The first CRO audit of one page is free, with no card. New accounts also get free credits to try the paid analyses.
Each analysis costs credits and the cost is shown before you start. Subscription credits last one month and renew with your billing cycle; on Growth unused credits roll over to the next month. Pay as you go credits last 12 months, and a first purchase gets 50% more.
Starter, Standard, Pro and Growth, from $59 a month, pay as you go credits that open every Pro feature without a subscription, and custom plans for larger teams. Signing up is free, with 30 welcome credits. The pricing page lists what each plan includes.
Yes, at any time from your account settings.
By card through Stripe. For custom plans, write to us.
Yes. Every paid plan starts with a 3-day free trial for a new account, with 500 trial credits on Pro and Growth. A card is needed at checkout and is charged on day 4 unless you cancel before.
04 Technical
Technical
No. EyeCaptain's audits work from the URL and nothing is installed on your site. Only Live heatmaps, an upcoming feature that records real visitors, uses one small script, and only if you choose to add it.
It analyses public pages. For a password-protected staging site, remove the password for the run or analyse the live page.
Yes. The page is rendered in a real browser and captured once it has loaded, so React, Vue and other frameworks work.
The capture handles common cookie banners and pop-ups so the page is analysed the way a visitor sees it after the first click.
05 Data and security
Data and security
No. EyeCaptain analyses the page itself, not the people who visit it. No script runs on your site and no visitor data is collected.
They are stored in your account to show in your reports. They are not used for anything else, and you can delete any project at any time.
We process account data under the GDPR. The details are in the privacy policy.
Yes. You can turn on two-factor authentication in your account security settings.
